The Ultimate D&D Wedding Guide: Wedding Inspiration for Every D&D Class
Part Four: Sorcerer, Warlock & Wizard
We’ve made it to the final installment of our D&D Wedding Inspiration series!
We’ve battled, celebrated, communed with nature, escaped into the mountains, and probably spent far too much money on Paladin-level decor. Now we’re ending things with the magic users.
For our final three classes, we’re embracing rituals, celestial magic, ancient pacts, libraries, and hopeless romance with the Sorcerer, Warlock, and Wizard.
10. Sorcerer
The Sorcerer is all about magic—it’s who they are. Naturally, their wedding should follow suit. Think rituals, fortune-telling, and a celebration that feels genuinely magical.
Vibe: This is your witchy wedding. Lean into rituals, fortune-telling, and a little bit of magic.
Season: Fall
Colors: Deep purples, greens, and golds.
Venue: An ancient tree or a secluded forest.
Decor: For the ceremony, create an intricate seating arrangement in a spiral or circle. A ritual circle of candles makes for a dramatic altar, while crystals, flowers—maybe dried—and mystical trinkets can decorate the reception.
Apparel: A black or colored dress would be incredibly fun, or you can go more classic with a fitted white lace gown and flowing sleeves.
For a suit, a colored suit with a patterned lining would be amazing, especially if the pattern featured dried flowers, tarot cards, or other magical details.
Extras: Have a tarot card reader or fortune teller at the reception for your guests. Because if you’re going to have a magical wedding, you might as well find out what the cards have to say about everyone’s future.
11. Warlock
The darkest of the magic casters, Warlocks give off a mystical and mysterious vibe while still being a little ostentatious. Their ceremony should feel less like a wedding and more like a lifelong pact between two souls.
Vibe: Dark and mystical. Think moonlit ball with celestial elements woven throughout. Every part of the wedding should feel ancient, dramatic, and everlasting.
Season: Fall
Colors: Deep blues, black, and gold.
Venue: Castle ruins, an altar in the forest, or a glass-roofed greenhouse with views of the stars.
Decor: Create a black or reflective ceremony aisle lined with dripping candles. For the reception, use moody table settings featuring deep blue table runners, gold plates, pearls, and—of course—more dripping candles.
Apparel: For the dress, I love the idea of something that looks almost unreal. Think satin with sweeping draping and sculptural folds that seem to defy gravity, or a black gown with intricate lace details.
For suits, I’m thinking Phantom of the Opera: a long black suit for the ceremony with a billowing white shirt underneath for the reception.
Extras: Have a late ceremony, either as the sun is setting or as the moon begins to rise. Incorporate a handfasting ceremony to symbolize the binding of two souls.
12. Wizard
Wizards, at their heart, are just giant book nerds and hopeless romantics. Naturally, their wedding should reflect that.
Vibe: Romantic and classic. This wedding should feel like a love story and smell like a library. Think Bridgerton meets romantasy.
Season: Spring
Colors: Soft dusty pinks, light blues, and gold.
Venue: A library or museum.
Decor: Everything should feel soft, elegant, and romantic. Centerpieces made from stacked books and candles are a must. Add vintage plates and teacups to each place setting, with lace and floral details throughout the space.
Apparel: This is your cake-topper-dress moment. Go flowing, frilly, and romantic with plenty of lace details.
For a suit, I love the idea of a tailored navy three-piece.
Extras: Your guest book should absolutely be your favorite book, with guests highlighting quotes and signing in the margins. Invitations and signage welcoming everyone to “our next chapter” are a must.
Your Happily Ever After Starts Here
And just like that, we’ve made our way through all 12 D&D classes—and hopefully convinced you that there is absolutely no reason your wedding has to fit into a traditional box.
Whether you’re a Bard who wants to throw the party of the century, a Ranger who would rather say your vows on a mountaintop, or a Wizard who has always dreamed of a storybook romance, your wedding should feel like you.
At Kismet Gatherings, we love the celebrations that break the mold. The weird ideas, the unexpected venues, the elaborate themes, the tiny details that only make sense to you two. Those are the things that turn a wedding from a wedding into your wedding.
So grab your party, roll for initiative, and let’s start planning your next great adventure.
